Engagement Photography Waco, TX | Julia & Robert

One of my favorite things about my job is getting to hear a couple’s story. Julia & Robert have a great one. They were “set up” by a some friends, but Julia did not know she was being set up.

They met at a birthday party for a 1 year old and Robert kept hogging the baby. Julia eventually pryed the kid away, but in the process she started to take an interest in Robert. A month later they were MySpace friends and two months later they were on their first date. The next month Robert was deployed to Iraq and 6 months later when he came in, he proposed! He went back overseas for a few more months and just came home for good about 3 weeks ago.  6 months from now they’ll be married at Castle on the Lake in Jacksonville, TX.
(Not a bad year for the two of them eh?)

Anyway, we met up in Waco for their session and here are some of my favorites.

I had a lot of fun, and the pictures look amazing! I’m very happy with everything. Alex, you are so much fun to work with, I was nervous about getting pictures taken and with your relaxed, fun style it made everything great. Thanks.

(I went to Iraq, not Afghanistan, but it’s not a big deal. I know we didn’t really talk about it much.)

Good photos. There’s a good mix of composition, close-ups, black and white. I’d say Robert has chosen a winner (fiance and photographer). And he’s got his mother’s eyes and smile. ;-}
