One of the things I always do is ask couples “What do you like to do together?”
Some boat, some fight, some roller skate. Jamie & Steven LOVE them some movies so we busted into the Alamo Draft House theater in Austin and shot away. Major major thanks to them for giving us the run of the pace. They are located in a few cities in Texas and are totally worth looking into if you like movies.
Since basically EVERY movie coming out now is in 3D we had to get some with glasses. I can’t wait to see hollywood rerelease The Notebook in 3D.
For all my photographer friends who are wondering how I lit this shot it’s pretty basic. Super giant bright backlight + 40×90 ft reflector in front.
They also like to play the video games. Jamie CRUSHED it at Rock Band.
Finally we did some “normal” engagement shots.
Well… “Austin Normal”.
I’m totally looking forward to their September wedding!

Ummm so even though you said it would be like Friday or Monday, I definitely checked your website like 8 times between yesterday and today cause I was so impatiently excited. Absolutely worth the wait! haha. The pictures look so amazing. I was telling everyone at work on my way out the door. I’m REALLY relieved to see that it wasn’t Sarah Jessica Parker’s face behind us. I don’t know how you manage to capture exactly who we are, but make us look good at the same time! Pure genius.
Money well spent… the photos are wonderful… both technically and artistically. Of course, it helps to have such photogenic subjects! Thanks for going all the way to Austin to make these photos so special for Jamie and Steven.

The photos are great!! I love the ones that look like you are in the thearter and with the old fashion 3D glasses… They just look fun… then there are other favorites that show your beauty and love for each other. Way Cool!!

Wonderful engagement pictures. Steven, you have always looked so much like your dad, but in several of the pictures with the mustache, you reminded so much of your granddad. Jamie is a lovely bride-to-be and the groom looks pretty good too.
