Remember that time Chesley & Andy invited me to photograph them cooking for an engagement session? I don’t think it’s possible for me to love these two people more.

I MAY have eaten an extra slice of this fruit pizza while they were changing clothes for the second part of out session.

Seriously, you two were so so much fun to hang out with. I can’t wait for your marriage to begin!!!!!

Lauren & Daniel were so chill during their session. They were up for anything and totally laid back. It even drizzled a bit during their session but since she commutes to Seattle on a weekly basis that didn’t even phase them one bit.

Nothing can stop the awesome train that is Lauren & Daniel.

I am giddy about their June wedding. (Hey Barbara of La Tee Da Flowers, you better bring your A-game to this one!)

Lauren & Brent | Anniversary Shoot

I shot Lauren & Brent’s wedding a little over 3 years ago. They are one of my favorite past couples but it’s not because of their great style or awesome taste. (Although this things don’t hurt.) The reason I love them so much is because they were and are still totally into each other. Every time I’m around them I leave ready to go home and love my wife better. They are killing it at being married.

Back in August Lauren E-mailed to say they wanted an themed anniversary session every 3 years and that this one would be a “vintage style shoot with a 50′s-60′s style dress and hair, bowtie and suspenders for brent, old fashioned bicycle, etc etc..”

This was my response: “you + brent + galveston + vintage = i’m in.”

6 months later here are the results.

If you think this shoot is great wait till you see what we come up with in 2015.

2010 December Rewind

Happy December Everyone!!! We are starting a new “Rewind” tradition. Each month I’m going to do a little quick interview with a couple celebrating their 1 year anniversary. This will give you up and coming married people a little peak into what your world might look like in a few months. I knew Kristi & Kiley would be the perfect couple to get the ball rolling.

What have you liked most about your first year being married?
Building a home And life together

Give us your best cheapo/fun married date idea.
Going swimming on the lake

What’s been the hardest part about being married?
Learning each other, what not to do and say

What surpassed you the most? (Either good or bad.)
The love we have for each other.

What have you fought about most and why?
Little things (what way to put the toilet paper on the holder)

So if I remember right, you guys don’t Facebook. Why is that?
We stay in touch with friends other ways and everyone else doesn’t matter.

Do you have any advice for couples about to take the plunge?
Have fun with each other laugh and love through everything.

15 Engagement Session Ideas

Couples are always asking me this question:
“What should we do for our engagement session?”
That always turns into me asking them this question:
“What do you like to do?”

You see, I feel like whatever it is you like to do then that’s what we should do. Just because you are engaged does not mean you need to go walk on the railroad tracks. You are not a train conductor. Step AWAY from the train tracks. Here are just a few things that some of my couples have done on their session.

1. Walk your dog.

2. Go dancing3. State Fair
4. Lake5. College
6. Lego Store
7. Austin
8. Bowl
9. Piano
10. Fight
11. Fountain
12. Beer
13. Trampoline
14. Parking Garage

See, it’s easy. Do what you love with someone you love; I’ll photograph it and you’ll love it.

2010 November Rewind

This November I have FIVE wedding & 2 Engagement sessions.
Last November I had ZERO weddings and 2 sessions.

This means…..

This November we are at DisneyWorld & last year the kids got coal in their Christmas stockings.

Things were a little slow but hey, at least I had two kick butt sessions. Thanks you guys for being awesome!
