crystal and robin had a great wedding at castle on the lake in jacksonville. it was super chill and a heck of a party. here are some of my favorites starting with some of the great work the flower girl did.

my most favorite part about first looks are that it gives couples a chance to be themselves. to be alone and really experience their wedding day and the emotions they have. some couples cry, some laugh. some do both. :)

i can’t believe i have not shared these yet. candace and i had a blast shooting at la torretta lake resort and spa in conroe. if you are in the area you have to spend a weekend there. their engagement session was a blast, the bridals were so much fun, and their wedding is only a few weeks away. i’m dying to shoot it.

it’s been a little while since i filled you in on what my little family has been up to. here is a little recap of the past few months.

we watched a meteor shower at 3:00am.

jo and sara played basketball. (jo typically dribbled down the court while sara felt compelled to skip.)

i have started taking strange photos of my kids.
here are the first 3. jedi | rapunzel | the jump
my kids are taking more photos of me.

have i mentioned my wife is super easy on the eyes.
eli likes the chill with iPhones and sara just got her ears pierced.
just another day at the breakfast table.
sara hurt her finger, luke likes to swing and danielle made a 54 scoop ice cream bowl.

that pretty much sums it up.

Engaged People Hanging Out at the Stockayrds, Longview, & Tyler

The past few weeks have been pretty busy so I have not had a chance to blogs as much as I would have liked. Here are a few little peeks at some of my rad couples.

(Yeah, I said rad. What of it?)

Ashley & Chadd are super chill and total “country folk” I love people like them. The Stockyards in Ft. Worth were the perfect location.

Caitlin does not play golf but Jared does. She comes along and watches him play. That makes her a good catch.

Ericka & Justin were so kind. I love their personalities and their session con sited of being outdoors in amazing places like this one…..

… to maybe violating a city code and jumping in a fountain in the middle of the afternoon.
I am amazed that I am blessed with such great couples. A HUGE thanks to all my couples who trust me to peak into their lives during this season of their lives.

Denise & Josh | Amber Springs Wedding

Denise first came across my photography when hunting for a photographer for her sister in law. She then convinced Mellisa & Ross to use me for their wedding. (I think she just wanted to see me in action before booking.) So, when she got engaged I was super pumped that she gave me a call to come tell her story. I love this family and feel totally at home when I’m around them. Lots and lots of images to follow from their wedding at Amber Springs near Houston.

Her dad spent so much time working on his speech for the reception. I love this frame of him.

Found this short film this morning. It was too good not to pass on. It’s 10 minutes long and totally worth it.

Sometimes it’s nice to stop and remember the world is bigger than taxes, your job, or your wedding.

Stephenie + Jared = Fun

This was my first time shooting down at the Kemah Boardwalk near Houston and I could not have chosen a better couple. Stephenie & Jared were a blast and the way I look at it, anytime I can get paid to drive down somewhere and ride a bunch or carnival rides it’s a win-win.

I was not allowed to take my “fancy” camera on the ride, so I had to resort to snapping away with my iPhone. Not bad eh?

Happy Snake Attack Day!

Today may be the number 1 holiday at our house. More than they love Christmas our kids love celebrating Snake Attack Day. This tradition started 6 years ago when this happened.

So, in honor of Snake Attack Day, scare someone, use a chopper, or eat a gummy worm. Enjoy.
