The past few weeks have been pretty busy so I have not had a chance to blogs as much as I would have liked. Here are a few little peeks at some of my rad couples.

Ashley & Chadd are super chill and total “country folk” I love people like them. The Stockyards in Ft. Worth were the perfect location.

Caitlin does not play golf but Jared does. She comes along and watches him play. That makes her a good catch.

Ericka & Justin were so kind. I love their personalities and their session con sited of being outdoors in amazing places like this one…..

… to maybe violating a city code and jumping in a fountain in the middle of the afternoon.
I am amazed that I am blessed with such great couples. A HUGE thanks to all my couples who trust me to peak into their lives during this season of their lives.

Chesley & Andy | Cooking Up Love

Remember that time Chesley & Andy invited me to photograph them cooking for an engagement session? I don’t think it’s possible for me to love these two people more.

I MAY have eaten an extra slice of this fruit pizza while they were changing clothes for the second part of out session.

Seriously, you two were so so much fun to hang out with. I can’t wait for your marriage to begin!!!!!

Couples are always asking me this question:
“What should we do for our engagement session?”
That always turns into me asking them this question:
“What do you like to do?”

You see, I feel like whatever it is you like to do then that’s what we should do. Just because you are engaged does not mean you need to go walk on the railroad tracks. You are not a train conductor. Step AWAY from the train tracks. Here are just a few things that some of my couples have done on their session.

1. Walk your dog.

2. Go dancing3. State Fair

I have known Jessica since she was like in the 7th grade. In fact she was one of the first people I photographed. Here she around her freshman year in high school.

Short hair? Check.
Braces? Check.
Bad photography? Double Check.

(Jess you totally knew I was posting an old photo right? At least I picked a “good” one.)

Anyway, I was super excited when she emailed me and said she was engaged and that I was gonna shoot her wedding! Before we got to just Jess & Justice We did a few with his daughter as well. She is MUCH cuter and hipper than Jess was.

Now a few of the two of them.

The three of you were terrific and I’m looking forward to hanging out with you more. Thanks for being so awesome.

I love doing these rewind posts. It’s a little reminded for me that my couples still exists before and after my shoots. I love the 18 month window that I get to look into my couples lives. I usually meet them at the height of their giddy-ness and love and get to walk along with them till their wedding day and the months right after. Hip hip hooray to all of my March 2010 couples. I hope married life is as fun for you as it is for me. (Really really fun.)

Gini & Charlie | Engagement Photography Tyler, TX

After about 10 minutes with these two they quickly moved to the top of my “Weddings I Can’t Wait To Shoot Next Year” List. They were so fun and so laid back. They love to go out on the lake so that’s where we started the session. Here are a few of my favorites.

As we were driving along I became fascinated with Gini’s hair that was flying all over the place. I’m loving these two shots.

Charlie would “propose” to Gini every so often with a ring pop. One day he gave her this plastic ring without the sucker. She complained and then he gave her the wrapper with her ring inside it. Well played Charlie. Well played.

Like I said, I’m giddy as a school girl to get their wedding. It’s gonna be at The Belgium House in Longview & The Mug Machine will be wrecking havoc. Save the date folks.

Engagement Photography Longview, TX | Jessica & Charlie

When planning Jessica & Charlie’s engagement session they mentioned that they like to make make pottery together. A quick google search turned up a great place in Longview called The Mud Hut. If you are into pottery, have small kids, or are just looking for a unique date idea you really should drive over and check them out.

After about 20 minutes of just hanging out with these two I felt like I had known them for months. They were so relaxed and it was great to see them in their element.

The coasters Charlie made. Not bad eh?

When they are not painting pottery these two are… LAWYERS! Crazy eh? They actually met the first day of law school and just finished taking the Bar Exam.

Also, when they are not practicing law they are…. BUYING A HOUSE! We stopped by their place that they are closing on tomorrow and got a great cheesy home owner photo.

You’ll see more of these two in December when they tie the knot over at the Villa id Felicita.

Engagement Photography Longview TX | Laura & Chad

I am really pumped about Chad & Laura’s wedding next month. I fell in love with them after about 30 seconds and am really looking forward to capturing their day and taking lots and lots of pictures of them. We did their engagement session in Longview, TX and even though it was a bit warm, no one complained and we got some amazing stuff.

These two have known each other since high school and I loved their chemistry, it’s like they are in sync. They know when to smile, when to be serious, and when to snuggle up a bit and just laugh.

We started the session in Longview, but actually made a stop in Cairo.

Chad is such a gentleman, it was too bright on the roof, so he was constantly jumping off the ledge just so Laura would not be squinting in the photos.
