2010 September Rewind

Last September was an insanely fun month. I had 2 weddings, 1 engagement session and my first Rock the Frock day after session. OH, and we also went to DisneyWorld. A HUGE happy 1 year to Jamie & Steven along with Jessica & Rob. You guys were some of my favorites couples form last year.

I figure you wanna see a few photos but then the main reason you are hear is to watch our home movie from the trip.

I am not taking photos at a wedding this weekend.

This feels a bit strange. This is my first weekend off since March 12th. That makes 21 weddings in the past 16 weeks. I’m not sure what I’ll do with my time off. (Maybe edit?)

These two were crazy fun to shoot. They were up for anything and have super great on camera chemistry.

This is an abandoned house that is on her parents land. It was built like one million years ago and was the perfect prop.

Norma & Jesus had a great wedding day, but I think my favorite part of the day was their portrait session. This is the first time I have ever had a bride ask if we could pull over on to a soccer field on the way to the reception. She loves soccer. He loves his car. We used both!

I met Norma and Jesus in downtown Henderson, TX for a little engagement session. It was quick, it was fun, and we finished before it got too hot!

When doing an Engagement session in East Texas, you never know when a John Deer race will breaking out.

If I could bottle up Laura & Neil’s chemistry and add it to my wedding packages I would totally do it. These two were so much fun to work with and I can not wait for their wedding day.

You can tell Neil loves Laura and totally melts in her hands, but the skeleton on his shirt makes him look super tough and is a subtle reminder that he was in the Marine Corps and can beat anyone up.

Duke was convinced the session was about him.

Question: What’s more fun than taking photos of a couple that is jumping on a trampoline?

Answer: Jumping on a trampoline and taking photos.

This is a tree on their land that Neil’s grandmother loved. (If you get out your magnifying glass you can see them too.)

Engagement Photography Henderson TX | Rachel & Andrew

Rachel & Andrew are getting married later this year and when we started talking about their engagement session Rachel mentioned maybe doing some with a plane but that if it was too much trouble we didn’t have to worry about it. Of course, being a total guy I became giddy with excitement but try to act all cool/non-impressed about the whole deal.

It turns out Andrew is a bit of a pilot and can already fly small planes and is continuing his education to where he can fly bigger planes. I’m sure there is an official term for all of this, but as far as I’m concerned he’s cool like Luke Skywalker and can fly an X-Wing. Anyway, here are a few from the day.

I totally wish I could live inside this plane. It was from the 70′s and super swanky looking.

Under the wing. Really, how cool are we. We are under an airplane!
