Super great Fourth of July wedding at Castle on the Lake in Jacksonville. No chit chat from me, just straight to the images.

Super cute flower girl. Ready and willing to be photographed.

This was Lindsey’s checklist for the day.

They wanted lots of photos of the two of them and that always starts off with a super fun First Look.

Lindsey had EVERYBODY rocking the white and they all totally pulled it off.

I love me a good ring shot.

It’s funny, no matter how hot it is, once the ceremony rolls around, it’s all kinda just fades away to pretty.

Right after the ceremony they decided to take me up on one of my “tips” and have a meal alone. Just the two of them.

Is it OK to admit that i teared up a bit during Butterfly Kisses?

My ring shot prop and his lady friend. :)

First sparkler getaway where I literally feared for my life. (I think some people snuck in some fireworks or something. There was a lot of flameage happening.

So for those of you who follow me on Facebook or Twitter, you know that a couple of weeks ago we re-enacted our wedding. Jo was way too cool to be “in” the wedding so he opted to be the photographer and Sara was able to fulfill her dreams of being a flower girl.

2 side notes:
1.  The kids have always liked taking pictures with our iPhones and my camera, but we finally broke down and bought them a camera of their own and they have gone nuts with it. I have not really told them what to do other than how to turn it on and off and the results have been pretty fun to watch. I’ll do a post soon of the random stuff they shoot.
2.  Give it up for my wife.  7 year and 4 kids later she still fit into that dress.  I on the other hand walked around with my pants half way zipped and only inhaling.

The garden hose made a lovely wedding walk and Sara had the time of her life.

Luke did great as the Father of the Bride. No tears, just a man knowing his daughter will be in good hands.

Eli was the PERFECT minister. He kept it short and to the point.

Jo got up close for the ring exchange.

We did have to hold the kiss. I think he missed the first one.

No one told him to shoot the grooms cakes, he just figured it was worth documenting.

This is the only photo I and my timer can take credit for. Not a bad looking group.

Anyway, all you brides who are thinking of adding a second shooter to your package, don’t be surprise if Jo shows up. :)

Chelsea & Tyson had a great little wedding out on Lake Tyler. I first met up with the girls at Chelsea’s house and found this note on the door.

See if you can spot my petite little shoes

Tyson is a smooth guy, but I think Carson, the ring bearer, may have him beat.

They seriously look like one of those families that you get a picture of when you buy a frame. You know, the pretty people that we all look at and go, “why don’t we look like that?”

Carson apparently had had his fill of being photographed.

Ok, so I’ll admit it, while at a wedding I’m always on the look out for engaged or super cool maybe they’ll be engaged soon couples. Later in the evening these two came up to me and said they were close to getting engaged and wanted to chat about me shooting their wedding. I was pretty excited because I had spotted them earlier and was like… “ooh, they would be fun to photograph!” Anyway, I’m blogging a shot of them dancing to be nice to them and increase my odds of booking their wedding. :) (Hey at least I’m honest.)

I knew about 5 minutes into their rocking engagement session that this would be a great wedding.  On the wedding day I think I was there for almost 10 hours or so and got so many great images that picking which ones to blog was harder than usual.

Linsey wore some amazingly pink shoes!

Cayde was relaxed and laid back all day long.

A few shots from their “First Look” before the ceremony. Super fun. Super romantic. Super intimate.

I really like how this one came out.

A good groom never takes his eyes off his bride. :)

I got this shot by leaning out my window as I was driving behind them.
Driving skills = Bad. Photography skills = Good.

The reception was a blast. Here’s a small taste of how much fun it was. (I LOVE the black and white shot of Linsey dancing with her Grandfather.)

Wedding Photography Castle on the Lake | Josey & Sam

Josey and Sam had a great little wedding at Castle on the Lake in Jacksonville. It was everything a wedding should be, family, friends, relaxed, and crazy fun.
Here is one from their first look. (The rest of the day Josey kept saying. “I’m so glad we saw each other before the ceremony.”)

I have known this little guy for almost 3 years now, he is the same age as my oldest son and we have a blast every time we are together. He kept saying he was James Bond.

Josey. Sam. J. S. Get it? :)

With 2 older boys and only 1 girl we all knew the day would be tough on Josey’s dad.

After they finished their first dance they stopped for about 3 seconds and then broke into a 5 minute mash-up dance similar to the evolution of dance. It was easily the best first dance I have ever seen.

You know you are in East Texas when….

the grooms cake is road kill…

and little kids are playing golf with pine cones.

Don’t freak out… he was not driving.

Thanks guys it’s been a blast getting to know you the past few years and thanks for trusting your day with me.
