Davi and her mom were an absolute blast to work with. It’s funny because they kept telling me they wanted to do whatever I said, but then kept suggesting poses and then apologizing for it after. :) We had so much fun driving around town and I’m so stoked about so many of the shots we got.

Davi is getting married out at Elmwood Gardens but wanted a few shots at a church looking all fancy and bride-ly. I think she pulled it off.

This next shot may be one of my favorite bridal session moments of all time. She is super close to her Great Aunt, but she will not be able to come to the wedding so Davi asked if we could stop by her home and do a few shots of the two of them together and let her see her in the dress. Apparently Davi did not get the memo that brides are supposed to be into themselves and their day and everyone else is supposed to revolve around them. I’m not quite sure why she is thinking of others but I went along with it.

She will be wearing these on the wedding day. Ingram will be her new last name. (They are also doubling as her “something blue”.)

Both her fiance’ and her dad served in the armed forces so a tank was a natural fit.

Also, for all of you looking at this picture and freaking out about things getting dirty, don’t worry.  We kept the tank clean.

With her wedding only a few weeks away, we went all over Palestine getting these shots. Here are a few of my favorites.

She brought her mother’s veil just so she could make fun of her. :) AWESOME!

Go ahead and mark down July 26, 2009. That’s the day after Davi & Jonathan get married. I can pretty much promise you I’ll be putting up images from their wedding ASAP. These two just know how to look good and in love in front of a camera.

Before we get to the images though, I just HAVE to share this little story. We started at their house and while they were doing an outfit change Davi’s mom and I had this conversation:
_______________________

Mom: I just wanted you to know that I love your work and look at your website all the time. Your pictures are amazing.

Alex: Thank you. I’m really excited about some of the ones we have already done today. I think they are going to come out really good.

Mom: Well, I’m a bit biased, but I would have to agree with you. I mean, they are both very good looking, and you are good looking and your work is so good.

Now I have no idea what my looks have to do with anything, but Davi’s mom just became my favorite 2009 MOB. :)

Anyway, since EVERYONE was so good looking, we got so many great images it was hard to settle on which ones to blog.

Jonathan proposed on these tennis courts so these were extra fun.

I really like this one.

One of my very favorites

So they are reading these books together are part of their pre-marrige counseling and it was fun to work them into the session.
(The cool thing is Danielle and I read the same book way back in 2001 when we were engaged.)   Saving Your Marriage Before It Starts.

This one happened while Jonathan was reading the “intimacy” section out loud. (You’ll have to talk to them to find out what he said.)

Jonathan served 4 years and Davi really wanted some images with his uniform. This one was my favorite.

I have been looking forward to Megan’s bridal session for a while. Her and Jacob had a great engagement session and she is the first of my FIVE June brides to have her bridal session. So as a special treat for her being so stinkin’ awesome and ahead of the game she is getting a Same Day Edit. (Her full session is online today!)

Before we get to that, here are a few of my personal favorites. Jacob won back to back state golf titles in high school and plays for SFA as well.
Like any good bride she did a few special shots for him. :)

After a few tries her mom figured out how to toss them in the air and NOT have them land on her head.

Her brother Daniel was at the course while we were shooting and he stopped by to say hello. He was too cool NOT to photograph. He’s off to ATM next year. Ladies, get in line.

We then headed to her house for the rest of the session.

AMAZING eyes!
