Lindsey & Jonathan | Engagement Photography Tyler, TX

Lindsey & Jonathan live out in California but are getting married here in Texas.  They were in town for the holidays so we snuck in an engagement session.  I think Lindsey’s nose almost froze off, but hey, what did she expect.  It’s Texas in the winter. :)

Lindsey is a P.E.T.A. advocate and she was so excited when she saw a truck with a P.E.T.A. bumper sticker in Texas of all places.  Then they pulled up closer and saw that it said People Eating Tasty Animals.  Oops. :)

Thank you two for braving the frigid cold.  Hope you are doing well in sunny California.

2009 November/December Rewind

I hope all of you had a great Christmas weekend.  I know many of us have to get back to the rat race today so I thought I’d cheer you up with some fancy looking photos.  I somehow forgot to do a rewind last month so you get a double dose today!  Here are some of my favorite images from November & December of last year.  Enjoy.

Katie & Chance had an incredibly fun wedding at the Villa di Felicita in Tyler.  I have had a December wedding there every year for the past 4 years and each one has been a blast.  I can’t say en ough about how great Ronda and her staff are.
Brides, call and book them today for your wedding.(903) 597-0002 :)

On to the images.

This bridesmaid had lip gloss with an LED flashlight and mirror built in.  LED.  Seriously?
I would love to have been at the product meeting.
Engineer 1: “Where can we put and LED light so that it will have the most impact for humanity?”
Engineer 2: “Uh… I don’t know, what if we replace city lights to conserve power nationwide.”
Engineer 1: “Not good enough.”
Engineer 2: “Why not give one to every kid in Africa so they can see where thy are going at night?”
Engineer 1: “Not good enough.”
Engineer 2: “Sometimes my wife complains that it’s hard to put her lipstick on while driving at night.”
Engineer 1: “Perfect!”

Katie basically spent her entire day smiling and laughing.  She was the perfect bride.

These two were hesitant to do a First Look, but then went on and on about how glad they were they had one.  I love when couples have these moments alone.

If Chance looks familiar to some of you it’s because he’s been a pitcher for the Longhorns the past few seasons.

Chance being Chance.

I’m pretty sure these two ring bearers came away with more photos than I did.

A wedding photographer’s dream.  NINE single bridesmaids.  The business cards were out in full force. :)

I LOVE LOVE LOVE when couples choose to have a private meal together.  It’s there one last chance to visit before the paparazzi of wedding guests attacks them. :)

There was much dancing.

Thank you guys for a great day.  Can’t wait to get your SuperSquare to you!

These two braved the freezing cold winds a few days ago for their engagement session.  I’m super pumped about the shots we got.

If you know Jonathan, you know he likes his “toys”  here is one of them.

Thanks for a great session.  Can’t wait to show you guys the rest of the images!

Kristi & Kiley | Stone Oak Ranch Wedding Photography

I have been looking forward to this wedding for a long time.  I knew Kristi & Kiley would be great but I was also super excited about getting to shoot at Stone Oak Ranch for the first time.  All 3 did not disappoint!  Kristi & Kiley were totally into each other the whole time and Stone Oak Ranch jumped into one of my Top 5 favorite places to shoot!  This place is fantastic.  It’s straight out of a movie.  I was describing it to another photographer friend of mine yesterday and the best explanation I had was… “If Julia Roberts were getting married in a movie somewhere out in the country the it would look exactly like Stone Oak Ranch.”  Not a bad place to get married right? :)  OK, on to the images.

One of the great things about Stone Oak is that they are able to provide you with flowers for your day.  They are done by A Touch of Nature.  These came out great.

Thank You Kristi & Kiley for trusting me with your day.  I loved sharing it with you.
