If you know me you know that I ALWAYS encourage brides to get their wedding filmed. AND, if you know anything about getting your wedding filmed you that all the cool brides get their wedding filmed in Super 8. The thing with Super 8 is that it’s typically really expensive. Here’s where it gets better. Vanessa McKellar is running a limited time offer where you can save 50% on having your wedding filmed in Super 8. This is a crazy good deal and if you have been on the fence about getting your wedding filmed then this should push you over the edge. Go visit her site for all the details. Also, here is a little trailer she did in Super 8 from Erika & Phil’s wedding that we shot together a little while ago.
I can’t wait for Ashley & Aric’s wedding at the Villa Antonia in Austin, TX. This wedding venue is flippin’ amazing and there are so many great little places to shoot. Here are just a few from her bridal session, but be ready for a super post after her February wedding!
GiGi came along and got in on the action as well. :)
First off a big thanks to everyone who voted. There were just over 3,500 votes cast last week and some of these where very close. I always love seeing what you guys end up picking as your favorites and you once again came through big. Thanks to my couples who spread the word and congrats to those who won some big prints. I’m sure you are ready for me to quit blabbing so here you are. The winners of 2010.
This is the last category of Top 10 images and it’s a good one. Regardless of wedding venue, flowers, and all the planning that goes into a wedding day it’s ultimately about the two people getting married. There is nothing I enjoy more than giving a couple a great photo of them on their wedding day. Most of these came about because of them choosing to have a First Look. It’s what allows us time to really have fun and capture some creative photos.
Since this is the last category I’m going to leave the voting open all weekend so get to work people. check back Monday morning when the winners in each category are announced. Each category winner will receive a 16×20 print of their winning image. So pick an image, vote, then get on your Twitter and your Facebook and make your friends come vote.
Here are the images.
This year we add a new category to the year in review. I launched the Mug Machine this past year and it has been nothing short of a runaway hit. I had 10 brides add it to their wedding last year and this year 11 of my 18 brides will have it at their wedding.
Brides love it. Grandparents love it. Little people love it. Everyone is powerless to the fun-ness of The Mug Machine. Everyone except Joe from the Villa. (You’ll see.) This thing is so much fun at receptions it’s like alcohol for Baptists. I was not able to just pick 10 images so I cheated and dialed the list up to 15. :) Now go get your vote on.
